Word strip heart garland....

I am really enjoying all the great photos people are sending to me of their version of my photo heart garlands!! Robyn Meierotto just released "Love wordArt" over at Design House Digitals and I decided to use some of her word strips to make some Valentines paper hearts!

 
 
 
I am really happy with how they turned out. I just made my word strips 6 inches long by about 1-1 1/2 inches, printed them on photo paper, cut them out and assembled them. See the full (photo) tutorial HERE to see how to construct them! Sav-me basic idea just with words instead of photos!

Polaroid template projects....

 
 
I love making mini albums and I am so in love with Robyn's new line "Sketchy" over at Design House Digitals. Hybrid scrapping is something a bit new for me but I am so loving it right now.  For this project I used the polaroid elements to make this cute little mini album. I simply added my photos to the polaroid template and then printed 9 of them off on a 12x12 white cardstock, cut them out, and then bound them with my Bind-it-all. I journaled on the back of each page.

 
Another project I made using this same template were these magnetic polaroid photos.

 
 
Again, I just printed them out the same as the project above except this time I added some words to my photos. I placed a small magnet on the back and now they are ready to be displayed on my framed metal piece in my kitchen!

I LOVE the color combo and I go weak in the knees with a polaroid template any day!!! The paper pack is great too. One little word......release!

 
 
My one little word for 2011...release! Release the past and all the "not so good things" and embrace all the "great things". It's been a bit of a rough year but I am trying to keep focused on my OLW. Photo heart love!

I am so excited that the girls over at eighteen25 chose my photo heart project to share!!! I love their take on it!! What fun!! That has always been one of my favorite projects. It just so happens that I created a new garland using the photo heart.  
This time I made just four hearts, cut some felt hearts by hand and strung them along on some clear thread. I just tied some ribbon in between the hearts and viola!

 
I also made my photo strips a bit thinner. These are photos that are .5x.75 inches!

Persnickety Prints and Picasa....a match made in heaven!

I love Picasa but never realized what was available or what options they offered. Today....Persnickety Prints changed all of that for me! I am in love with both places! I love collages and Picasa makes it SO easy and way cool to do! Head over to the Persnickety Prints blog as they have a tutorial on how to do ALL of it. You can even upload your pages, photos, collages, and they can print them for you. You can also print them out yourself if you'd like! Persnickety Prints is also offering some really cute digi papers too! I love that they provide links and You Tube videos to show you how to do it!

 
 
 
The first one is a 4x6 collage and the second is a 12x12. You can make collages or scrapbook pages! The possibilities are really endless! Thanks Persnickety Prints for turning me on to your great products and services and for showing me what Picasa has to offer!!

My project is a desktop calendar:

 
 To make this calendar you will need:

Zutter clipboard 3x4 pages (1)

Zutter clear 4x4 pages (2)

1/2 inch o-wire

BIA machine

Patterned paper, cardstock cut to 4x4 pieces (12), mini calendar (Jenni Bowlin), and embellishments.

 
First punch both sides of clear pieces and both 4 inch sides of the clipboard piece. Next take your (12) 4x4 pieces of cardstock and adhere your calendar. Do this for 12 sheets. Line these up and punch with BIA. To the bottom of each clear 4x4 piece add o-wire to 3x4 clipboard piece and bind. Take your 12 pieces of calendar pages and insert them using o-wire to top of the two clear pieces and bind. This should give you a triangle with o-wire on three side and your calendar resting on the front. When the month is over you can tear off or flip to backside of stand.

 
On the back of each cardstock/calendar page I wrote down the dates of significant events like birthdays and anniversarys.

January Reveal at The Story Matters..............

 

Where did December go? I can't believe we are already in January!! The Story Matters has a great January kit for you! The month circles are my absolute fav! I chose to make a mini album using the envelopes and month circles. I made a page for each month that I plan on putting a photo on one side and journal on the other. Inside each envelope are two months. I bound all the envelopes (after cutting off the tops) with my Bind-it-all.

 
 
My other January project was an altered Maya Road box. This box holds 6 "Thank You" cards that can be sent for all those wonderful Christmas gifts that I received!
