Hey everyone, it seems like I'm not quite over Christmas yet. I usually struggle with Christmas LO's but this year they seem to be coming out so easily. I'm not ready to put my Christmas papers and embellishments away!
This photo of my daughter is from about 5 years ago. She looks so tired on this photo. We celebrate Christmas hard in this family. Celebrations and festivities all December long. By the time Christmas gets here we are all exhausted but we can't help it. We love Christmas so much!
There is so much cute Christmas flair in the shop. Look how cute this one is!
Moikka! How are you? If you are stressing, what's your way to relax? One of mine is naturally crafting, but the other one is even more "natural" - I just love to wonder in a forest! The different greens, the earthy scent and the silence. Crafting is my first "go to" but if that doesn't do it - well, forest hasn't failed me yet!
The picture in the page is black and white so I needed to bring the green in to the project in another way. I chose a woodgrain background and then added green papers and embellishments to get the greenery in there. I even used some die cut pieces of paper to add more natural touches.
I followed the same color scheme in my choice of flair buttons - some of them are green and some black and white. The phrase which gave the page its name is from "Daily Words" set. The other one with text is from "Lovely Words 9" - the button actually says "alive", but I tucked it behind the photo so that it reads just "live". There's also a couple of geometric patterned ones in the page. I was hesitant with the feather patterned, but the composition needed something to the other side and natural pattern like feathers seemed to be a good fit. Underneath you can see all the sets I used for the layout.
Wishing you a lovely, stress-free day! Thank you for your visit!
Els here today with my very first post for the new year. I hope you had great holidays, and want to wish you all the best for 2018. I brought my first layout of 2018 to share with you today.
With the blues of my picture, I knew I first had to go looking for some patterned paper that could match it. Usually it helps me to lay my picture onto my patterned paper and see if it pops or not.
I found this very cool patterned paper that worked, and then started building from its color scheme.
Mixing old and new stash I could build some fun clusters of embellishments around the picture. Flair from the Chalkboard set and the Inspirational words set add a little dimension onto my page.
Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne here today. I wanted to share a winter layout that I created and it wouldn't be complete without the awesome flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons.
The polar bear flair button from the Animal 3 Flair Set was perfect because the Canadian winters where I live can be very cold and of course polar bears live in this climate. Besides, they are so cute I couldn't resist.
Flair buttons are great on any layout, card or project.
Be sure and check out the A Flair For Buttons shop. There are so many to choose from.
Hello there! It's Riikka here to share my first post of 2018 with you! So first of all - Happy New Year! May it be a positive and creative one!
For this post I created a layout and taped a little video while working on it. The topic is my younger daughter, who is really strong-willed. The title is in Finnish. "Tahto" means will. In a world like this, that might come handy one day, but currently it's sometime a bit exhausting. Usually it's good but sometimes her will demonstrates in odd places - like one morning she didn't want to wear shoes...
I was actually thinking about another page first with the photo, but when I saw the flair shown in the picture above, I knew exactly what to do. This statement is from "Vintage Bee 4" set. In the video I'm not only showing how I created the page but also show a little glimpse of the way I usually start a project for A Flair for Buttons. I usually get all my flairs out and look for inspiration in them!
If you wish to see how I start a project and how this page was made, please see the video below!
You might have guessed the source of the color palette by now - the first flair! It's also a great, energetic, friendly and happy color which are all also adjectives that go to my little one. Besides the crown, I needed to add the tiger from the "Animal 3" set to the page as she's a little tiger, too. The heart goes without saying, I guess. This golden one is from "Black and Gold".
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a splendid start to the new year!
