Hello, friends, and Merry Christmas! Missy here, and I'm sharing a festive holiday layout today featuring flair from the Here & Now and Love Gold Flair sets. I'm obsessed with using white die cut Christmas trees on my Christmas layouts! I don't even know why. They just always look so pretty, and so I glued a few down to white cardstock. I smudged some clear gesso over the bulk of the page and then used a few different green shades of Shimmerz sprays. I love how the colors made the trees stand out. I machine stitched with gold thread over the trees for added sparkle and detail. I used pieces from the My Mind's Eye Comfort & Joy collection.
I love the kraft color mixed in with this flair. It was the perfect one to use to showcase these sweet family photos from Christmas a few years ago. I layered this cute set of chipboard trees in between my photos and then layered the flair button on top of it. I used some 3x4 cards to layer behind my photos for an added little pop of color. I also added some gold thread behind my flair button for some extra shine.
I cute "christmas" on white cardstock on my Cameo using the Shoreline font (one of my favorites!) and then layered this cute banner sticker under it. I added some foam under it to raise it up. My other flair looked cute under it, and I added a chipboard button and a brad to create a cluster. The gold splatters are Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. I love these shiny gold flair buttons because they're so versatile. Even though it's not technically a "Christmas" themed embellishment, it works perfectly!
I just love the texture and color you can get from tangled thread. I love the dimension created here with the die cut title and the foam under the photos. I added a cute chipboard tree right on top of my photos as well.
Here's another look at the title beneath the photos. I think tone-on-tone is so pretty like this...especially white. And aren't the green and gold so pretty together? I love when colors are just meant to mix and mingle!
More tangled thread here. I added in a few metallic gold star pieces here and on the other side of the page. Those are from the MME Necessities collection.
Here's one more close-up of the die cut trees. I went over them with some plastic packaging to add the Shimmerz colors. I love how some of it is on the trees and some of it is on the background. That's the beauty of that technique...it goes wherever and always looks awesome :) At the top of the page, I added some light blue Shimmerz to create the illusion of a sky and then glued some white sequins and some teeny gold stars. The sequins are from SpiegelMom Scraps.
Here are the flair sets I used:
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
