Hey there, friends! Missy here with you today :) I decided to dive into some of my older American Crafts supplies to create this layout. Most of these papers are from the Yes, Please! collection, and they coordinated perfectly with the flair buttons I used from the Best Friends Flair set. I decided to start with a grey patterned paper background. I stitched a large circle in four different thread colors and built my layers inside it. I love all of these bold colors together, and they really compliment the black and white photo. I had some open space on the photo, and it was the perfect spot for that cute #BFF flair button.
I made this pink BESTIES flair button fit down in my title area and angled my journaling around it. I used some of the alpha stamps from Elle's Studio here and a die cut on white cardstock. I used some Shimmerz and acrylic paint to color the "crazy" die cut and I layered it right over the stamping. I layered some green thread under the flair, and I love how all the colors look together.
I added orange thread under this flair. Thread is a great and easy way to add more pops of color wherever you need it. Those cute glasses are an older My Mind's Eye Stamp, and the Hello Friend stickers is from MAMBI. I found some older Heidi Swapp rub-ons to add to the side of the pink paper, and I added in an Evalicious tag (white and black piece).
I used a small circle punch to create this banner. I just cut each circle in half and arranged them into banners and then stitched them down. I fussy cut the large camera from patterned paper, and I stamped the small black camera and popped it up for dimension.
Here's another close up of the top area. I used all of the four main colors to stitch the big circle. I love how these layers look...the colors are so bold. I also added in some stamped sentiments from a few roller stamps. My background watercolor effect was made using some Shimmerz and gelatos on plastic packaging.
One final close up of the bottom. Those are Heidi Swapp rub-ons that I've had in my stash forever! That little triangle stamp is also HS.
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I hope this gives you some inspiration! Have a great day!
Missy :)
