Hey, friends! Missy here with you today. I have a layout to share using the Simple Stories We Are Family collection and two flair buttons from the Just Hearts 2 set and the Tell Your Story 3A set. I wanted a simple design to showcase this lovely family photo, and so I used a few layers behind it, a large fussy cut flower and a few stickers and die cuts around it. I did a little bit of misting over a stencil in the background and then added some splatters. I didn't want to go overboard, so I used a golden yellow color to make the photo pop. I used my flair buttons as layers on top of my flower clusters.
I love using colored thread to make a messy little nest for my flair buttons. I love how this one looks layered over the flower cluster. And the green thread just adds to the leafy feel of that cluster, I think. And I love that the red color matches this collection perfectly.
This cute heart button was the perfect touch for this area of the layout. It adds not only a heart, but a great pop of yellow. I love how it looks up next to the wood grain family stickers.
I love this flower cluster...I fussy cut it from some patterned paper and made it overlap my photo. I added some pop dots to give it some dimension and added some tangled thread under it.
Finally, here's a look at the background. I used a combo of Heidi Swapp Color
Shine in Butter and Mustard Seed. I added brown stitching on the layout and then finished it off with my journaling.
