My Fave

Who doesn't love a good selfie...and even better a family selfie!!  We try to take family selfies anytime we are traveling (if we can get everyone to sit still for 10 seconds).  I have several photos from a trip in May that still need to be scrapbooked, so I chose this one of me with the kids and used three flair buttons from the Selfie Flair set in my design.

I printed my photo a little under 5x7 and then used the Flair Buttons and a mix of product from the Dear Lizzy Documentary collection, to frame in the photo.  I started the layout by doing a tone on tone die cut look with the background paper.

I placed the Flair Buttons on three sides of the photo and then balanced the colors from the Thickers and embellishments around the four sides of the photo.  I love the way the embellishments and flair buttons create different dimensions around the large photo.

The Joys Of Boys

Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne here and today I am sharing a layout I created using some awesome flair from the Hashtag Boy Flair and the Just Hearts 1 Flair. 

 

 I love all the sets of hashtag flair and the Hashtag Boy Flair is no exception.  I thought the #littleman flair button was perfect for my little pirate.  This was my son when he was seven years old (he is now 15) and went to a birthday party where there was face painting.  He chose to be a pirate.

I added an orange heart flair button (from the Just Hearts 1 set) to the center of the large die cut star because hearts are one of my favorite elements.

Throw Kindness Around Like Glitter

Hey flair fans!  Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue sharing a layout AND a card for you today.  I was having so much fun while making the layout, I decided just to extent it with a card also. 

I used two different set of flair for this layout. The first one from the "Love" Gold Foil flair set. I also design for ThermOWeb and that is the foil that is used for these, so I had to get my little crafty hands on them.  I used the butterfly from the set, because it went so well with the picture!

The next piece of flair I used comes from the "Today Words" flair set.   Since this was a picture of their retirement from doing pet therapy, I thought the "this year" flair was a sentimental piece to add to my layout.

And now for a quick and fun card. I wanted to play off the target in the paper, so putting a piece of flair in the center was just the thing.

The "Linen Polka Dots" flair set is one of my favorites, because it's so versatile.

BLUE

 

 

Good Morning to you all!  Mary-Ann here to share a simple story and a simple layout with you.  

The story is simple.  My boy has the brightest prettiest blue eyes ever.  He needed glasses at a pretty young age.  This time around, maybe because he has a bigger head, lol, he chose these blue framed glasses.  They are perfect and have solved all our eyeball problems.  We can see them as blue as they were without glasses.  Matter of fact, I think they help 'em stand out even better!

The layout is quite simple too.  I wanted the 3x4 cards and the flair to tell the story.  I think they do, don't you?

Easter Layout

I love spring and love the soft pastel colors of these flair buttons.  I placed them in a triangle so that it would draw the eyes across the page.

Triple D Eats

For today's layout, I'm combining two of my favorite things...scrapbooking and food!  My hubby and I are Triple D fanatics, and if you don't know what that is, it's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network.  :)  Anytime we take a road trip, our initial plans involve finding any restaurants that have appeared on Triple D, in that area.  And on our trip to Ohio back in May, we were lucky enough to find several yummy restaurants that had been featured on the show.

I love that Shelley always has the perfect Flair sets for any theme, in the A Flair for Buttons Shop!  I knew the Travel Phrases 2 Flair was the perfect match for my layout.  I cut a large cut file on my Silhouette Cameo and added three of the Flair Buttons from the set, to smaller circles around the large circle.

 

 

I also love to add clustering, so I used some of the embellishments from the new Finders Keepers collection from Amy Tangerine, to mix in with the Flair Buttons.  And I love that this Flair set is a Black & White set, which will coordinate with any product that you want to use on layout!

My name is Riikka Kovasin and I'm a mixed media influenced crafter from Finland. Layouts are my passion, but I enjoy doing other crafty projects too like canvases or ATCs. I'm married to the love of my life and we have two daughters together. ATCs:

When I first saw the Marie buttons in the Etsy shop I immediately started to think about an ATC serie with them. So the first craft I did for my guest spot was to create some ATCs with them.

I wanted the ATCs have a rosy and romantic feeling so I used pink, pearls and a doily on them. First I layered different patterned papers on top of another and chose to go with feminine patterns and pink colors. I especially thought the rose pattern to suit the atmosphere of the cards.

On top of the papers I then added mist and stamping to have a touch of my own to them. On top I then added the embellishments in this case the flair buttons, some roses and pearls. Lastly I doodled with a white Sharpie some circles and hearts to the cards.

Seek – believe – find –layout

I normally use just one flair per project, but as these are special I really went overboard! This layout is also special in another way because of the topic. The picture is of me together with an amazing singer Andi Kravljaca. I got to meet him in person when I delivered a mixed media guitar I had made to him inspired by lyrics of one of his bands, Thaurorod.

I kept the color scheme of the flairs mainly really neutral but added a touch of teal with the “Believe” one. I followed the same scheme in my other materials – grey, a hint of beige and some teal, too. As I didn’t use that much mixed media in the background, I added some colors on top of the paper layers before adding the photo and the embellishments. For colorants I used mist and tea – tea because of the awesome color it has but also as we had tea and amazing cake together.

 Travel –layout

The vacation season is at its highest and my girls are so excited about a coming trip we’re having! It will be their first on board an aeroplane. We are travelling to Berlin and I’ve been checking out several guides about the city as you can see. We’ve planned just one attraction a day and otherwise just seeing and experiencing the city.

I started the page by adding different circular elements to the background to mimic the shape of the flairs. The fun thing about both the guest layouts I did is that I chose the picture first and immediately after that the flairs. When doing a regular page, the embellishments come as the last detail! These flairs were chosen to mimic the colors of the picture as well as have something to do with travelling and the upcoming vacation.

Soak it Up

Hey there, flair fans!  Missy back with you today.  I have a fun & bright Summer page to share here :)  I can't get enough of scrapping pool pictures.  They are my favorite to create with, and I used the fun Echo Park I Love Sunshine collection to create this.  I used three beautiful Flair Buttons from the Tropical Vacation set and the Bright Summer Colors 2 Set. 

 

I started with embossing several stamps onto white cardstock and then using a variety of rainbow-colored gelatos and a wet baby wipe to smudge them on.  I love how the embossing powder acts a resist!  So fun!  These Flair Buttons were perfect for these bright colors.  I used one as the sun and two more for fun embellishments.

I just love this cute sun...I had to use it in these fun little clouds!  I added some yellow thread under it for a pop of color.

I fussy cut the word "soak" from some patterned paper and paired it with some old alpha stickers from Lilly Be.  This rainbow Flair Button matched perfectly with all these colors.  I layered in a few stickers here as well as some tissue paper under the photo layers.

I layered this awesome Flair Button right on top of the photo.  I love all the colors here...so bold and festive!  I love how shiny the embossing turned out.
Here's one more close-up of the title area.  I just drew the letters onto different patterned papers and fussy cut them out.  I couldn't resist using all those awesome patterns!  This is a great way to use up scraps, too.

FL Vacation

Hello there!  Today I am sharing a layout featuring an older collection of photos from our Disney Trip a few years ago.   I swear Indian Jones here, caught himself a super large snake!  Not just one of the photos could capture the moment so I included all three.

I used Studio Calico for the papers and embellishments.

 

For this layout, I used the "vacation" flair as part of my title.  I love how the pink helps make the green pop.

Playing With Dolls

Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne here and today I wanted to share a layout of my daughter when she was 5 years old playing with her dolls.

I decided to create a layout with mini envelopes and tuck some Hashtag Boy Flair inside the tiny envelopes.  The Hashtag Boy Flair can be used for girl layouts too! Flair can be so versatile!

 

I also added a camera from the Summer Gold Foil Flair to the punched circle to draw the eye to the photo and gold die cut title.

Oiu to Adventures!

Happy Friday {a flair for buttons} fans, Diane here! I can't think of a better way to kick off the weekend than sharing a layout with the new gold flair from the shop!

I decided to pair the gold flair with a picture of my sweetie and I when vacationing in France a couple years ago. It really brought back some great memories while creating this layout...I wish I was there right now!
