{A Flair for Buttons}

Retro Camera and Storm Drain Art

What could these two things have in common?  A layout of course!  Katrina here today to share a layout using and oldie, but goodie flair set from the shop.  The Retro Cameras 1 flair set. 

The Retro Camera flair that Shelley has in the shop is what made me fall in love with {a flair for buttons}!  These are some of the flair that hit my collection first.  There are a few different sets, but these come from the first set.  

The colors of these went perfectly with the Jillibean soup papers I had picked out to work with.  I decided to mount them on arrow stickers to add a little fun to them. And photo op is exactly what I thought of when I saw this storm drain.

I love how flair goes perfectly with anything you want to use as embellishments for your projects. I added some wood veneer to this layout to add to the retro feel of the cameras. And the flair pulled some of the colors out in the picture also.

Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne  here and today I'm excited to share my first layout.

 I wanted to create a masculine layout of my husband but also keep it fun with some nautical accents to support the title.  I created this with October Afternoon's Treasure Hunt Collection of patterned papers and stickers.  I added some background stamping and some sewing machine stitching.  The flair buttons I chose are from three different sets.

I'm dreaming about summertime, beach, sand and sunshine... can't wait to be in July for going to the seaside!

Beachy Keen

Hi everyone!  I'm stopping in today, to share a new layout with you, using some awesome Flair Buttons from the A Flair for Buttons Shop!  I mixed several Flair Buttons from the Shop, to create a summer look on my layout.

 

 

 

 

I wanted to cluster all of the elements on my page, so I created a grid using several large wood veneers.  Once the wood veneers were in place I added my title and embellishments.  And I used the Flair Buttons to create a visual triangle around the page.

Hi everyone, Diane here today! I'm sharing a fun layout about my daughter's personality. She is high energy, bubbly, upbeat, friendly and all around happy wherever she goes. Everyone in town and surrounding towns seems to know her and she is well liked. I decided to document that with a colorful layout.

I added a piece of flair in a coordinating color for each color block and added some fun journaling that fits her personality and the mood of the layout.

Good Times

Good Morning!

When you have just the right photo, paired with just the right paper and the right flair, a layout or project can come together rather quickly.  You can see in this photo that I did not layer many papers or embellishments.  I used the bits that coordinated with the papers and searched through my stash of flair, that is pretty much it.

I used flair from Script Words in Color and Best Friends Flair.

Lazy Sundays With Some Flair

It's Friday and is everyone ready for the weekend?  I know I am!  And, I just happen to have a page about how a Sunday was spent around our house!

Yep, on the couch!  Isn't that how everyone's Sundays are?  And I had fun adding flair to the title.  I love when I can do that! I used the @ sign from the Blog Hop 2014 flair set for part of the title.

And here is the entire set, if you would like to see what comes in it.  These are some great basic pieces to add to your collection.

Since I had an @ sign, I needed a # also!  I used the #friends flair from the Best Friends flair set as an accent.

For this layout I used some Studio Tekturek papers that I really love!

I decided to go with a dark background to contrast with the bright colors from the papers

As usually I used a lot of my favorite embellishments : tags, die cuts and labels and of course some gorgeous flair ♥

Dogs & Cats

Call us crazy, but we decided to adopt a new puppy this past Easter weekend!  It's been about 10 years, since we had a pet, so it's been a little chaotic around here.  But he seems to fit in perfectly, and of course, I've had to snap some photos of him for scrapbook layouts!  There are some really cute pet themed Flair Buttons in the A Flair for Buttons shop, but I didn't have any on hand...yet.  So I decided to look through my sets, and see what I could find, that would work with the look I was going for.  I chose a mix of the Black and White Words 1 Flair, Be Mine Flair, and Best Friends Flair.

 

 

The Flair Buttons had a Black, White and Red color scheme, so I pulled out the Fine & Dandy collection from Dear Lizzy, to go along with the flair.  And, the collection also had a dog embellishment!  I created a banner across the bottom of the layout, and thought it would be fun to add the Flair Buttons to the center of the circles.

 

So even if you don't have the exact theme of Flair on hand, for your next layout, you can still make the ones you have work for you.  But I'll definitely be picking up some of the cute pet sets that are in the Shop!

Pure Happiness

Good morning AFB friends.  

I have been excited to share this layout with you.  I have paired some of my favorite rainbow flair with the beautiful new line Cienna, from Elle's Studio.  It has been loads of fun using bits and piece while finishing up scrapping some of my USMC ball photos from November.  Just look how handsome these  boys are.  It may be because my beautiful friends and I are standing next to them:o)

 

The 3x4 block is actually a PL card, cut from a piece of paper.  It looks as though I typed it  myself!  I love the splashes of yellow that are scattered throughout my layout.  This "Oh Happy Day" flair from Script Words in Color was a perfect fit.  

I did have a hard time using this rainbow polkadot flair.  It is from Bright Summer Colors 2 which is my favorite set.  I felt like hoarding them.  Maybe I should just order more!  If you need them, you can order the set HERE!  They go with EVERYTHING!  Shelley has created so many beautiful new sets that have just been added to the store as well.  Head over to see what is new.  You can even follow her on Instagram.

Hey everyone, Diane here sharing a fun layout. I'm still working my way through my Messy Box stash so I decided to use that with my {a flair for buttons} flair and a few odds and ends from my stash.

I used the "once upon a time" flair as an opener for my journaling.

Along the bottom of the photo I created a border with circles and hearts along with another pieces of flair. 

I used the Just Word 3 Flair for my layout.

Hello Sunshine

Happy Thursday, Flair Fans!  It's Missy here.  Today I'm sharing a very bright and bold page that just screams SUMMER!  I started this layout with several Summer flair buttons in mind.  I combined a few different collections on this page...the Shimelle line, American Crafts Plus One and Simple Stories Good Day, Sunshine.  All of these are in my stash, and I always love using up what I have.

I did create a process video that shows my step-by-step process, which you can view down below.  A little bit of explanation for this...I used some white gesso on my background to fade out some of the circles and then I used watercolors and gelatos smudged with plastic packaging to create my mixed media effect.  I used SIX flair buttons from the shop...they are the perfect embellishment to add!

I have been hoarding this green #AHHHH button for a while now, and this was the perfect layout to use it on.  I love the color, and I love the colors around it.  That rainbow striped flair button was another one I've been wanting to use.  What better page than a Summery one, right?  I used some very old yellow glitter Thickers as part of my title.
 
Isn't this sun just adorable?  It matched perfectly, and I used it right by my title since it is a picture of the sun :)  
I used another Sunburst Brights button.  I think I need more of those!  They're so versatile and and be used on any type of project.  I popped up that cute snowcone and then fussy cut the hearts from a Project Life type card.
Lastly, I used this adorable sky and clouds button from the Watercolors set.  It's just the right one to use on the sun here.
