Hi everyone, Diane here sharing my favorite type of layout...one with a vintage photo layout. 

Growing up, I spent a lot of time at my Grandpa and Grandma's farm and there was always good food and time spent together around that kitchen table. It was the typical formica table top from back in the day with a red trim and cream and red matching chairs. 

On the back of the layout, I journaled a page worth of memories of meals and good times, leaving the front for my design.

The flair is from the Autumn 2 Flair set and the My Life Words 2 set.

Enjoy card

Hi, Daniela here with another card. I just love adding pops of color with flair.

For this card I created my polka dot background with yellow and blue watercolor crayon on watercolor paper. I stamped the flowers from Technique Tuesday  on watercolor paper and colored them with watercolor crayons. My sentiment is stamped with black ink on a die cut tag. I anchored it with this beautiful ombre chevron flair.

Make sure you add just a little flair to your projects, too. You can find these, and lots more in the shop { a flair for buttons }.

Remember Everyday-Use Your Flair Two Ways

Katrina back on the blog today with couple of ideas on how to approach your flair on your projects!  And I am going to show you both of the ideas on one layout.

 

I used two pieces of flair on this layout. One is fairly obvious, since it's part of the title!  I used the "Just Hearts 2" set from the shop.  I loved the green heart and it fit perfectly into my title work.

Isn't this set just the cutest??  I love that there is a mix of brights and then a couple of bolds in there also!

Then I used a flair piece from the "Linen Polka Dot" set tucked into my cluster of flowers just as a little added something.  I tucked a die cut flower underneath it also, just to give an additional pop of color.

And this set is just versatile, that's all I can say!  These would be perfect for you planner people also!

So pull out your flair and try to use it different ways.  I am usually one to just "put it out there" because I love flair so much.  But I love the subtle touch with it also.  I will definitely be trying that some more.

FISH kiss

Good morning AFB friends.  Mary-Ann here!  I am pretty excited about the layout I am about to share with you.  I started with a super cute photo of my boy giving fish kisses while waiting for swim team to start.  His interpretation of a fish kiss and mine, vary slightly! lol.  I try, whenever I can, to utilize pink paper.  If I am slightly in the photo, even if my head is cut off, I bring out the pink!

 

I purposely used a black frame around my layout to be able to bring in touches of black and to help emphasis my huge title and flair!  Here are some closeups.

I adore how this layout came together.  I hope you do to.  Below are the two sets of flair that I used on my layout.  Capture the Moments (black version) and Black & White Words 1.

Hello Magazine Street

Hi AFFB fans!  It's Ashley and I have a layout to share with you, using some of the newest Flair Buttons that I received a couple of weeks ago! I used a total of 5 Flair Buttons on this layout from 4 different sets: Point and Shoot, Black and White Words1, Just Hearts2, and Capture The Moments.

 

 

 

I wanted to create a layered look on my page, so I started out by adding some watercolors to the background.  Then I cut a background die cut file and placed it over the watercolors, once it was dry.  I also wanted to add some circle elements to my page, and use them to ground my Flair Buttons.  And I also used one of the Flair Buttons as a part of my title and layered it over the photo.

Happy birthday card

Hi, Daniela here with a birthday card. I am using new dies and stamps from Impression Obsession.

"Oh happy day" flair is from Script Words in Color Flair and can be used for many different occasions. It fit this card perfectly. I die cut the wreath and the flowers and then tucked in the flair to make it look like it was a part of it.

Nature Center Walk

Katrina here today sharing a layout with some of the new flair in the shop, mixed with some older flair!  I chose some pictures from our trip to the Nature Center here in town.  

I used three different sets.  The first set I used is that adorable kraft color cloud flair that fit right in with my page colors.

 

It is from the Kraft and White flair set.  You can find it in the shop here.

 

Next up, when I saw this flair set, I knew I had to have it!  It is the Capture the Moments set, also new in the shop.  I love the black and white, along with the mint color!

 

I placed it on that wood veneer banner, just for fun!  

As I was digging thru my flair, a the "hello life" flair from the Hello Life set fell onto my layout.  It just fit perfectly, so I decided to add it on also!

You Were Meant to Shine

Hi everyone!  It's Ashley, and I'm here today to share a new layout with you.  I recently picked up some of the Bella Rouge collection from Pink Paislee, and I love the colors...Pink, Yellow, Gray, Black and White!  I knew immediately that I wanted to use some of the Black & White Flair Buttons from the A Flair for Buttons Shop, with this collection.  I chose two of the Flair Buttons from the Blog Hop 2014 Flair and a Vintage camera Flair.

 

 

I used two of the Flair Buttons from the Blog Hop 2014 Flair, by adding one to the center of the die cut at the top corner of my photo and the other as part of the long title.  And I wanted to incorporate a third Flair Button, so I thought the Camera worked perfectly in a cluster near the title and photo.  I love the graphic look the Black & White Flair Buttons add to a layout!

 

 

 

 

I love that there is such a great variety of Flair in the Shop!  It would also be fun to try out a Black, White and Gray color scheme on your layout and then look for really bright and color Flair Buttons from the Shop to embellish your layout!  I'll have to store that idea away for future layouts!  :)

 

Love Our Story

Hey there!  Missy here with my very first post as a Design Team Member!  I'm so excited to be here!  I absolutely love using Shelley's awesome flair buttons on my projects.  I just love February, and I decided to create a fun layout about love for my first project :)  I also love using up stash, and if you're anything like me, you've got a ton of it on your scrappy shelves.  I pulled out the Echo Park Love Story line from three years ago for this!  I love how these flair buttons coordinate with new as well as older lines.

Creating the pink watercolor look on the background was easy.  I smudged some white gesso around the paper and then I used several pink and red gelatos to add some color.

 

 

I wanted to pull in some more black embellishments, and the Chalkboard Valentines flair was perfect...that heart is my favorite!  I love how these flair are easy to tuck into paper layers.

 

These beautiful Sunburst Brights flair come in several colors.  This pink one matched perfectly with these colors.  I layered it on top of these two tickets and glued some tangled thread under it.

 

This fun flair button is from the Hello Life set.  It's so versatile and can be used on any type of themed project.  Again, I layered it.  There are just so many fun ways to use these!

Joy to the World Mini-Album

Hi! Els here today. I know it's been a while. The past few months have been so busy. And when things started to slow down, my mojo decided to go on a long (and probably well deserved) holiday. To get back in the swing of things, I decided to start with a very simple and easy mini-album. I didn't get around to making a December Daily album this time, but did want to make a fun small mini about our holidays. I used the Chalkboard Christmas Flair set for this one.

Bee Mine!

If you haven't seen them yet I am here to let you know I have some very cute, non tradtional Valentines flair in the shop called "Bee Mine"! I've added several new "bee" themed flair recently but made this set with Valentines Day in mind. Here is the set and a couple of quick, easy cards I created with them!

Happiness is Homemade

Hi everyone, Diane here sharing a little Valentine's Day layout. Not in the traditional sense of a person though…this one is about my love of pushing paper, glue and flair! :)

My layout features me in grade school with my homemade Valentine's Day box created with doilies, die cuts and lots of glitter. I was so proud, lol!

The layout includes lots of fun things…pretty paper, sticker sheets, rhinestones, doilies, chipboard, glitter tape and, of course, flair!

Hearts are the symbol of love and abundant in February, but I think they are great anytime of year and work with many layout themes. Your can find a large assortment of heart flair at the {a flair for buttons} shop!

Button Storage!

Hi there everyone, it's Bonita Rose here. Today I am sharing with you a really simple way to store all your Flair buttons you get from the shop!

I use a vintage muffin tin I found at an antique shop years ago.

It's perfect!!

The other day when I received my order, I couldn't wait!! to spread all my Flair on my table, and somewhat sort them then put them into the muffin tins. This way they are really easy to look through and sort through when I need to find the perfect one. Plus I love the fact the muffin tin is portable.. I can just take it out of my drawer in my studio and move it to wherever I'm working -- it's a perfect solution!

If you don't have a pretty vintage muffin tin, no worries - any one will do. 

Just remember. There are just so many! amazing sets in the shop -- you will need somewhere to keep them all! It's true!

Happy February everyone, Mary-Ann sharing my first layout for the month of LOVE!!!  Although this is not LOVE themed, it IS the best baseball team on the planet!  Or at least it was last baseball season!  We will soon see which team my boy will be on this year.  

I would like to talk for a second about stamps.  Well, flair first and then stamps.  Shelley sent me this set of  flair, Baseball Flair quite a long time ago.  I had my pictures but was unsure of the papers I was going to use.  When I recently received a package from a current kit club, I knew right away which photos I would use, in turn, which flair I was going to use.  This brings me back to stamps.  Not often am I wowed  by stamps.  But this saying was perfect.  Perfect for the challenges my boy faces, being on any sports team, attending school, playing with friends.  It is often that this statement could bring me comfort.  So, as it goes, it works perfectly with everything about this layout and the flair.  Who cares how good you are.  You can not do well if you don't try.

The colors on this set of flair will go with anything I have regarding baseball!  Maybe I need another set, hint hint!

 

I don't often hand journal, but because the stamp set was so random with its font, it worked perfectly.
