I'm one of those people who needs to focus on December and not the 'daily' part of it until after its over. Thats right, I do my December Daily in January (and February, maybe March too)
We are not super busy people but I work for a large shipping company so December is a major blur for me. I learned a couple of years ago to take it easy in the crafting department and go with the flow. The flow for me, is taking pictures and collecting stuff to work on at a later date.
That also means, poking through the Flair shop to see which flair suits my project. This year, I collected a few sets:

Hi everyone, Diane here with a new layout. It features a super cute photo of my DH when he was a baby wearing a straw hat with pom poms and the word Mexico stitched on it. I had the perfect piece of flair in my stash from the Mexico Flair set that said Hola! and knew it would be perfect for this layout.
I used some bright colored blocks of patterned paper and alpha sticker sheet for the backdrop of the photo that coordinated with the colors in the "Hola!" flair piece.
You can get the Mexico Flair set in the {a flair for buttons} shop and there are lots of new sets to choose from too!

Happy Monday everyone! I'm not sure what the weather is like in your area, but ours has been a little crazy this winter. One day we are in coats, jeans and boots, and the next day it's short sleeves and flip flops! We recently went on an overnight trip at the beginning of January and it was a bit chilly during our trip. Our son has this puffy Orange coat, that he loves, because Orange is his favorite color! He looked so cute bundled up in the coat, I snapped some photos of him, and searched in my flair stash for the perfect Flair Buttons to go with my photos!
Since Orange was the dominant color in my photo, I wanted to keep my color scheme minimal. I added the Orange burst Flair and the On This Day Flair to complement the colors on my page. And I thought they would be perfect layered over the cloud die cut on my page!
Make sure you visit the A Flair for Buttons Shop, because tons of new designs have been added! There are so many to choose from, I can't decide which ones are my favorite!!

It's Katrina here today with a quick card share done with some hot trends right now...chevrons (sorry, I still love them!), foil, sequins and of course FLAIR!
The flair set I used is the Capture Life 1 flair set. The entire set is actually soft and subtle as you can see below. But the "Life...Live It" flair just screamed at me to go wild with it!
So, I enhanced it by a subtle background paper, some silver sequins scattered about and then some DecoFoil products that are new from ThermOWeb. BTW, if you saw any CHA coverage, foil was THE hot item at the show! I used three different colors, which make the white flair piece POP when you attach it to the top of the chevrons! I will definitely be doing the flair/foil combo more.
So, the moral of the story is make your flair POP! And plus, this is a great "go get 'em" card for someone that needs a pick me up or is making a change in their life! Have a great weekend!

Today I am sharing a layout I created combining flair from A Flair for Buttons and cut files from The Cut Shoppe. I have combined them on layout of my family at my cousins wedding back in June 2013.
I love clumping a couple flair together in the same area on a layout.
On the last post by Ashley, she mentioned that she started her last layout with the flair as her inspiration. For this layout, I started with the pictures, then paper and then I chose flair that would coordinate. There is so much flair in the ETSY store that will coordinate with your next project. Be sure to stop by the store and grab a few sets.

Hi everyone! I'm here today, with my first post for 2015! I thought it would be fun to try something a little different, since it's a new year! I normally use a lot of bright colors on my pages, but as I was looking through my Flair stash, I spotted some Wood Grain Buttons and tought it would be fun to do a Kraft monochromatic look, with touches of Black, White and Gray. I used the Hello Button from the Woodgrain 2 Flair set and the Just Us Button from the Wood Words Flair set, as the starting point for my page.
The Just Us Button was a perfect fit, to add to the wood veneer frame that I placed over my photo. And I added the Hello Button to the center of a stitched heart, on my background. I love that the buttons blend in perfectly with the Kraft look on my page. I also wanted to add some contrast, so I placed a few Black and Gray patterned papers behind die cut hearts, cut from White cardstock.
It's always fun to step out of your comfort zone, and try a new look. Why not try something different in your papercrafting this year!! And make sure you stop by the A Flair for Buttons Shop for a visit. Lots of fabulous new Flair sets have been added, and you you won't want to miss them!

With the new year well underway, I am wrapping up my December Memories album. I know how hard it can be for most of us to start and finish a Chrsitmas album. With so much going on during what is usually a hectic month for many of us, it can be tricky to fit in the time to print and organize photos as we go. It is for that reason that I opt for a December Moments mini album rather than a daily style album. I used a single package of Christmas flair from the A Flair For Buttons shop to add little touches of gold and silver throughout my album.

This was a fun Saturday morning change in routine. Before the girls went to Dance class we took them to congratulate our friend on her appointment to City Counsilor of our riding. She organized a private little party/thank you and tour of the offices, and such for those who helped in any way with her campaign. We even had time to go for a quick poutine lunch, and walk through the gorgeous Winnipeg Exchange District following the tour. This page is just one of the reasons why I love the idea of a monthly album rather than simply a Christmas focused one. It's more like a mini Project Life style version to record keeping than simply a holiday focus.
The colours and patterns of the Pink Paislee Merry & Bright collection were a perfect compliment to the Silver and Gold flair buttons I chose for all my Christmas pages. Shelley has such a great eye for trends and excellent colour combination.

I am taking you back to fall today, my favorite season! I have incorporated four different sets of flair on this layout. Each matching my color scheme and representing the message I am trying to convey.

Its no secret that my favorite flair in the shop has to do with travel. I love to travel and thats how I got into scrapbooking! All my friends had kids, were married etc when they got into it. I was dating my now husband and we were traveling all over.
When we got married and had kids, I set my travel pictures aside and focused on the kid.
With my stash of travel flair, I've started working on past trips. I spent the entire retreat weekend in October working on travel layouts. Here are a couple:

Happy New Year! I love new beginnings, and the start of a new year is always welcome here. I enjoy putting the traditional colors of Christmas away so I can get back to the sweeter, softer color palette I am most comfortable with.
My happy little card today uses a darling, pink owl button from the Owl Love Flair collection.
This is such a sweet collection...can't wait to use more of these in the near future.
