Sometimes you've just got to drop everything and scrap. That's how I was feeling about these photos of my 11 year old.
The quote she's holding up reads: it's better to be absolutely ridiculous, than absolutely borning (it's a peice that hangs in my oldest daughter's room)
She and her older sister had taken off one afternoon with my camera, and the result was a ton of random shots of each of them, the dog, some macro shots of inanimate objects and the like. These beauties were some of the few that survived the "send to trash button". I just love the way they capture the teeniest glimpse of my girl's character. Fun, and loveable, yet quiet and introspective.
I've had them sitting with these papers from BasicGrey for a while. When my latest order of flair arrived, I knew I just had to stop the project I was in the middle of and scrap. The Chalkboard Valentine's Flair works perfect for this layout, even though it's not a traditional "love themed" layout.
I also received the brand new Hey Cupcake Flair created by our very own Diane Payne.
The colours worked so well with the photos and papers, they just had to be included.
I hope to get started on some Valentine's Day projects soon. I have a few buttons from this set that I'm itching to use.
Have a wonderful weekend friends!
