Hi there! Ashli back again to share some more ideas for incorporating flair into your gifts. Last time, we took a look at some Christmas Holiday gift ideas. This time, we will take a look at some ideas for other occasions...
First up, I have a name plaque. This certainly could be a Christmas gift. In fact, I did indeed give this to a dear friend for Christmas. However, it would also make a great gift for any occasion worthy of celebration!
As you can see, I employed the wax technique yet again on this project. I just love how it looks! For more about that, be sure to check out my last post.
My friend's name is Joy, hence the "Joyful" name displayed. I love that it applies for Christmas and beyond, in her case :)
This mixed media piece is done on a basic block of wood. That way, it can stand up on a shelf, or be hung to display. A good reminder... attach the hanging hardware before you give it away. I may or may not have learned that one the hard way.
Next up, I have a fun gift for a Birthday. I don't know a little one who doesn't love their name displayed and showcased on their special day...
A simple chalk banner allows this decor piece to be customized at a moment's notice. An easy doodle of a cupcake on a repurposed wood tray, nestled in with some Birthday flair is just perfect! This could even be taken to a party full of cookies. A great gift and a keepsake to boot!
Next up, I have a decorated 12x12 album...
This is another gift that works well for Christmas, or any occasion beyond. In fact, I will be giving this album to my parents this holiday as I will soon be putting together an entire album of their recent trip to Israel.
A simple American Crafts Modern Album served as a base for my mixed media stencil play as well as some more wax-embedded flair. Since this album will indeed be handled a lot, I did add some Tacky Glue under the flair before I put them in the wax. Extra secure!
And last, but not least... a simple and reusable card!
What makes it reusable, you say? The cone is a magnet. Great for a Birthday, or for any special day where ice cream is in order :)
This was super easy! I simply sketched out a cone, decorated it with paint and glitter, glued on my flair, and stuck a magnet to the back. Easy!
So, the next time you need a gift, I encourage you to get crafty with flair. All of the flair used in these projects, and much more, can be found in the SHOP.
Thanks for joining me!
