Are you feeling the minutes counting down to Christmas yet?
I sure am!
Can you get all your intended holiday projects and shopping done on time?
Perhaps you are ahead of schedule- if you are, YAY! Please tell me your secret!
This week I managed to dash off a quick page for a photo I've wanted to scrap for a long time but couldn't because of it's enotional content.
A Flair For Buttons Smash Phrases pack, papers from Pebbles, stencil live card and pinked coffee filter paper from Fancy Pants. Heart tree chipboard from Scrap FX.
I did not get to enjoy my first pregnancy.
I was over the moon when I found out I was going to be a Mom but from the first sonogram at 10 weeks, I got dire news about the possibility of life threatening genetic defects.
I was given a slew of perfectly meaningless percentage numbers to mull over.
I was told I should consider "terminating the pregnancy".
But I preservered. Doctor's couldn't figure out what was wrong- all the tests came back negative.
I was afraid for the future but I was already in love with the tiny bean of life within so I made a promise that I would be stronger than whatever challenge we met.
Our most recent family photo. Give this up? Never!
Today the little bean is three years old and amazes me daily with new questions and discoveries. There were no genetic issues, just a very sick baby that needed 6 weeks in the NICU to get better.
The photo on the page is much more than a memory for me. It's a marker for what I am capable of when tested and one of the few moments I am unconditionally proud of myself for.
Smash Phrases pack is my favorite!
Have a great rest of the week! Get those presents wrapped and ready!
