And some more trees! Aren't these fabulous! Find them here!
My new obsession is with these fabulous vintage game letters pieces I found at Polly Ann's Antiques in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. I need to make a trip back soon to stock up on some more titles for mini albums! Aren't they cool! I also got stocked up on my favorite scented soy candles that Polly makes. My favorite is French Market! It is so yummy and so addicting! Right now she has 43 scents available! Just a few more items to shop for and then I am ready for the holidays! I can't wait to see all of our Omaha family and spend some time with them!
The girls at The Story Matters have done it again! Another fabulous kit! See that "2011" circle? I am in love! Here are a couple of sneaks from me! Go check out the blogfor more sneaks and get yourself signed up for a kit if you haven't already!! Remember you can start and cancel at anytime. No long term committment! You are going to want this January kit!!
When I got The Story Matters December kit I was so excited to jump in and use it! I decided right off that I was going to make projects with my kit for this month instead of layouts. I dearly love to do projects so here we go! This one is super easy and all you need are spools, #2 pencils, glitter, ribbon, a star template (I just made mine in PS) and your December kit! First you need to cover your spool with a piece of patterned paper the width of the spool. Now apply some glue at the base of the spool and sprinkle glitter. Shake off the excess and let dry. Taking a #2 pencil break it to the desired length, cover it with ribbon, and insert into top of spool. Add your letters to the front of your spool. You can use as many spools as you want to spell whatever you want!
To make the stars you simply cut out 2 stars for each spool and add glue around the edges, add glitter, and let dry. Once they are dry you are ready to glue two of them together leaving the bottom open to apply to the top of your ribbon covered pencil. Add a bit of glue to close the bottom opening and then add your embellishments. I used buttons from the kit on two of my stars! The goodies in the December kit are just perfect for this fun little project! I hope this has inspired you to make your own!!
