This is one of my projects for Maya Road for CHA Summer. I really had fun making this little album! Lots of MR goodies! I especially love the chandelier beads!! I used MR pins to hold them to the album and earring backs to secure. The new MR trims are just to die for! And I can't forget the awesome Scroll Frame album! You can check out the entire catalog and new releases here and here! If you are going to CHA Summer 2010 in Chicago have a great time and make sure to stop by the Maya Road booth to see what our incredible DT created with all the fabulous Maya Road products!!! Have a great weekend!
Have you ever witnessed something that just brought a huge lump to your throat and tears to your eyes? That happened for me this Summer when we landed on Cannon Beach, Oregon. I have wanted to visit this gorgeous beach ever since I saw a photo of it so when we traveled to Oregon this year it was high on my list of must-sees! When my 18 year old Autistic son saw this beach he immediately took of his shoes and started running. He had a huge smile on his face and he just went! It was so emotional watching him. He was free.....and loving it! I had the theme song from "Chariot's of Fire" in my head as I watched him go. It was beautiful! And then I had to send my youngest son to go catch him because he couldn't hear us and wasn't stopping! :) He loved that beach and so did I even before I got there. But now, it has a new memory linked with it....that of my son experiencing joy! It doesn't get any better than that!
You are going to LOVE this kit!! The incredible Megan Klauer was behind this month's kit and it is ADORABEL!! It is so bright and fun! Please go to our website or blog and get yourself signed up for our kit club!! You won't be sorry!! Here's a peek!
My friend Robyn has opened up her own new digital design website Pink Trike Design...and let me tell you it is FABULOUS!! I made my new banner using the Sunny Papers set! Here is some of the goodness that awaits you!
Here is a little album I made in July for the Bind-it-all DT! I used a coverall, an old map (featuring where we went for our vacation last year) and some license plate numbers picked up at a flea market! I simply use Modge Podge to adhere the map to the coverall and then another coat to seal it! Easy peasy!!!!
Just thought I would share a few from the trip now that we are home. We enjoyed our 18 days of vacation and nearly 7,000 miles of travel (thanks Dad for driving)! We saw so many incredible places and the time went too fast! We visited Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, California, Montana, South Dakota, Alberta and British Columbia! We saw the Redwoods, the Pacific Oregon Coast, the San Juan Islands, and the Columbia River. We enjoyed Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Shiprock, the Cascade Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, Haystack Rock, Burchardt Gardens, and the Twin Falls. We saw grizzly bears, black bears, moose, deer, and antelope. Most of all we have memories that we shared together and for those I will always be grateful! As I told my mom...I was ready to go home at the end of our travels...but if I could I would love to keep on going! I guess I will have to wait until my next adventure which is just around the corner! I am so grateful to be able to share with my children (like my parents did with me) the beauty and splendor of our country!
Here is a look at this month's kit! It is fabulous! I had a lot of fun creating with it! This is a little mini album I made using the kit and an Altoid tin! Keep checking back here and on The Story Matters blog for more layouts and projects by the team! The kit is just $24.99!! Be sure to stop by the The Story Matters website too for our forum and gallery!
We just arrived at my parents home in Omaha, and will leave for Iowa City, in the morning! It has been a wonderful trip and I have so many photos to share. But that will have to wait until I get the boys and myself home safely!
