Special Olympics Iowa Fundraiser: The Polar Plunge!!!

So this year my son Jordan informs me that he wants to be a part of the Special Olympics Polar Plunge Fundraiser (last year we watched)! For those who don't what I am talking about this is an event where groups of kids and adults raise money for Special Olympics by running down the beach and jumping into the freezing waters of a local lake! CRAZY!!!! But what a wonderful cause! Jordan has raised quite a bit of money so far but if you are interested please click on his "First Giving" link to the right and make a donation!! My son has enjoyed being a part of Special Olympics and had attended many events like bowling, track, and basketball! He stores his ribbons and medals in a special case that he is so very proud of! Special Olympics has been a very positive experience for him. Please help us raise money to help support this incredible organization! To learn more about the Polar Plunge go here! He did it!

Jordan really did it! He finally got to sing with kids his age and at a difficult level.....and he DID it!!! I knew he could!! I am so very proud of my son! I am not sure if anyone with a disability has ever gotten to join this choir....but my son sang with the best of them and he did it! (Be sure to turn off my blog music on the bottom right column!) Oh yeah....and he got to wear his "tux-i-doe"!!!

I have some exciting news......

Unfortunately, I can't share it with you yet.....but soon!! I am beyond excited about this new adventure! I will share with you the flowers my children got for me for Valentine's Day! I am such a lucky mom!!!

Because my little all felt Bind-it-all album is in there!!!

All photos in this album were heat transferred onto the felt pages. Lots of machine and hand stitching...including stitching on clear plastic to form a heart shape "frame" for the photos! I can't wait to give this little book to my friend!!!

A heads up also for  two DT members: Katie Watson Maya Road) and Emeline Seet (Bind-it-all) who both have several adroable projects in this issue!!!

I am so excited to announce that I will be joining "The Story Matters" kit club design team! This started as a challenge scrapblog which has now joined forces with Scrapaganza ( the largest scrapbooking store in Eastern Iowa) to bring to you an incredible yet reasonable monthly kit club.
