A little "plug" for my friend Lisa Pace!

Something wonderful happened for my fellow Maya Road DT member Lisa Pace at CHA this year. She had her first book published! This book has truly been a labor of love for Lisa and she has anxiously been awaiting it's publishing! Here is a little clip from CHA which showcases Lisa and her beautiful book "Delight in the Details".

Besides creating incredible projects for Maya Road, Lisa also teaches online workshops throughout the year so be sure to check her blog out here  to see when the next workshop begins! Cross stitch fabric mini album tutorial....

Some Maya Road CHA projects to share....

This was one of my favorite albums for CHA 2010. It is a sewing kit using Maya Road 5x7 binder book, the new and incredible chipboard minis "Sew Cute", kraft tags and envelopes, pins, needles, and thread!

I had a couple of acrylic books which I was excited about since I do LOVE all that is acrylic! Here is a peek at those.

Both of these acrylic albums were colored with alcohol inks (several coats until I got the color I wanted) and the blue one was then heat embossed. I stamped with Versamark on the clear pages with a snowflake stamp and then heat embossed. I liked how the colored/embossed pages looked "iced"!!

I just have to give a big shout out to my girlfriend Robyn on her first signature line she has created for Designs by Reminisce! Isn't it F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! I love the color scheme and all the goodies!! Just look at the adorable layouts she has done with it. I can see teen pages, Summer pages, boy pages, and the list goes on. It is so versatile and incredibly hip!! Congrats to you my friend and I can't wait to see what else you have up your creative sleeve!!!

Zutter's new releases for CHA-W 2010 and an invitation to the world's largest crop attempt!

I was so excited when Nan posted the new Zutter releases for CHA-W! I would LOVE to have a cutter that would cut through my chipboard! (I may have to get one of those) and I love the sound of the Distrezz All. You can check them both out for your self here! Nan is also part of the world's largest scrapbook crop attempt in Anaheim during CHA. It's for a great cause so I hope if you are in California for CHA you will stop in! I wish I could!!! It sounds like a lot of fun! More details here!

A great site for all your shutterbugs..............

Here is a great link for all you shutterbugs out there....Shutter Sisters! This site offers some great inspiration, wonderful photos and links to other incredible sites and photographers/visual storytellers! What I really like is their side links like One Word Project  that Ali Edwards will be joining for January. The word is "Create". Each month there will be a new "word" and you are encouraged to submit your photos that you feel best represent that word. There is a Flickr group to join and they also have a Facebook fan link. They also participate in the 365 (a picture a day) campaign. There is so much more for you to see and be a part of at Shutter Sisters so I hope you will stop by and check it out!

 

New Year calendar idea....

Visit the Zutter Zister's site for a quick tutorial on how to make this easy little calendar that was made using my Bind-it-all and few other Zutter goodies. The great thing about this calendar is that you can switch out your photos whenever you want and you can add a new calendar piece every year making this a very long lasting project! 

Reusable gift tags.....

I made these reusable gift tags using chalkboard fabric, patterned paper, fabric, Chalk ink, and dies from Sizzix and Quickutz. First I cut my paper/fabricwith my dies on my Cuttlebug machine. On the fabric tag I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edge. Adhere your paper/fabric cut piece to your piece cut from the chalkboard fabric and now you have your tag. I love these Chalk Ink pens. I tried regular chalk but these pens are much more clear and are easily removed with a wet wipe! I found them at Michaels. I can't wait to use them and they would really make great gifts! I love the idea of using them over and over again and being able to personalize them for any occasion and for anyone! Thanks for stopping by!
