Hello! Ashli Oliver here with the next installment in our No More Floating Flair mini-series. If you missed the previous posts, you can find them here:
All caught up? Great! Let's get started!
When we last met, we took a look at using Flair as a journaling prompt on your layout. If you missed that post, be sure to check it out here.
The layout shown in our last session was very much a linear approach. This time, we are getting a little more free-form and whimsical. After all, just because we are using our Flair in such a practical way, doesn't mean our layout has to be on the straight and narrow, now does it?
I piled up my photos, scraps of paper, and plenty of chipboard...
I used several badges from the following Flair Sets in the Shop:
Using hand-drawn arrows along with lines as writing guides, I was still able to add my journaling in! Not to mention it helps with all of the things we have previously discussed... tension, balance, etc...
Once again, by allowing my Flair to prompt my thoughts, I was able to take this page from basic cuteness of my sweet one dancing on the grass... to a page that digs a little deeper and speaks more from my heart. LOVE that!
You might notice too that the Flair on the very top doesn't even contain a word. Just because you don't have a word to go by, doesn't mean you can't put this technique into action. Let the images on the Flair guide your thoughts. For instance, that Flair piece has grass and a sunshine... so it was perfectly logical to talk about how she is my sunshine and I hope she never looses her free spirit.
We would love to see what you make. Just use the hashtag #NoMoreFloatingFlair when sharing on social media. And, as always, if you have any questions feel free to leave us a note in the comments.
I look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks with our series recap and wrap up!
