Hello! Ashli Oliver here with the next installment in our No More Floating Flair mini-series. If you missed the previous posts, you can find them here:
All caught up? Great! Let's get started!
Keeping in mind all of the principles we have looked at thus far, let's now focus on a fun and perhaps different way to use Flair on your page... as a journaling prompt!
That's right! Layered up with a photo, and grounded with some lines...
Let your mind wander! For me, I used the words on the Flair as the first word in my starting sentence and just went from there. But, you could take a minute to jot down word associations, or even complete a mind map. You will be pleasantly surprised when you approach your journaling from a different starting point. You might just end up in a wonderfully unexpected place!
The best thing about this approach? It expounded my journaling from "hey, this is cute... you are reading a book and you love books..." to a much more heart felt approach. Had I not had this Flair to prompt me, I most certainly wouldn't have written these more meaningful words.
To further emphasise the letter style journaling, I included the title: "Dear Vivi Jo," I just love the added meaning this gives to the page.
So, they next time you are wanting a little jumpstart in your journaling, or you have some Flair with thoughful words, I encourage you to give this a try!
We would love to see what you make. Just use the hashtag #NoMoreFloatingFlair when sharing on social media. And, as always, if you have any questions feel free to leave us a note in the comments.
I look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks when we will revisit this idea, but in a much more whimsical way...
