Recently, Shelley released some new Dog Flair and I was lucky enough to get in on a special blog hop using this new set. The Blog Hop featured a couple of members from her DT and the Give a Girl A.... design team. We combined the new flair set with a new stamp set.

Good Morning, it's Mary-Ann here for the first time on A Flair For Buttons Blog!!! I am so excited to be able to share with you one of my obsession in scrapbooking......FLAIR! I have a collection of flair that could be highlighted on the tv show Hoarders! As you can see from the photos in my layout, my son has adopted this quality from me! He has a serious collection of Nerf guns. His father being a retired Marine, and his mom a hoarder, he has no chance! The papers I used are from this months Studio Calico kit. I brought in the appropriate "Flair" to accent my layout's title.

Just wanted to pop in and say Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mother's out there. What a true honor it is to be a Mom. It's the toughest job I've had but the most rewarding one too. I love my children more than anything and they have made me one proud Mama! I am so happy that their dreams are becoming realities and that they are such loving, good people. I look forward to spending next year and the years after that spending Mother's Day (and Father's Day) with my parents who will be living here in about one month! I can't wait! Happy Mother's Day to my Mom whom I adore.

Hello!
So it's Mother's Day Weekend!
Tum tum tuuuuuum.
I just spoke those words out loud and gave my husband a glance- he has this hunted deer look on his face. He may have forgotten to get cards. Or flowers.
That's ok I make the first and despise the second unless they still have their roots.
It's pizza and a trip to Joann's for me.
Today I want to share a quick page I made with my new "technique" called
Oh the heck with it.
This week I'm spraying a whole lot of Liquitex Cobalt Blue acrylic spray paint onto scrapbooking paper till it warps really badly.
I then spray even MORE liquid onto the paper in the form of Tattered Angels turquoise glimmer mist.
TADAAAA...
The photos come from a family outing to Times Square where an artist has set up a mobile photobooth and is printing giant black and white poster prints for anyone who's willing to wait in line for an hour or so. I was a sunny and warm day so we bought Lola some fries and hoped for the best.
Apparently you only get 1 shot and six seconds to decide how you will present yourself to the world. We all ended up looking wierd but you know what?
It was FUN.
Lola, being three, did not understand that she had to look at the camera lens and so she stared up that ceiling and showed all of New York City her nostrils.

I have a friend who has a daughter that is graduating from high school very soon so I decided to maker her an album using the photos I took of her and some custom flair I created with those photos. Take a look!
I used her announcement as the first page of the album!
I kept it pretty simple as I wanted her mom to be able to add what she wanted to make it special. Just a fun way to use custom flair on your projects. I used the flat metal back on this project with some E-6000 liquid adhesive. Thanks for stopping by!
